The economic reactivation through the growth and recovery of jobs is one of the main objectives of the mining industry, which is why the Association of Mining Engineers, Metallurgists, and Geologists of Mexico, Zacatecas District, organizes with the National Employment Service of Zacatecas, the Mining Employment Fair to be held online.
The president of the AIMMGM, Zacatecas District, Rubén del Pozo, explained that the health contingency due to Covid-19 caused the loss of almost seven thousand jobs in the entity and according to the State Secretariat of Economy, more than 4 were recovered 1,300 formal jobs from July to September of the current year.
He indicated that the mining industry has distinguished itself by bringing progress and development in the communities where it operates, which is why in Zacatecas it seeks to contribute to economic reactivation through the organization and development of the Mining Employment Fair, in which mining companies in the state offer vacancies.
The virtual fair consists of 10 registration tables with 220 vacancies in total, where jobs such as anchor operator, scooptram operator, driller, crane operator, plumber, mechanic, jumbo multi-operator, head of open-pit mine operation, mechanical technician stand out for interior mine, an electromechanical technician for interior mine, a technician in mechanical reconstruction, an engineer in development, supervisor of mine, assistant of human resources.
Likewise, heavy machinery maintenance technician, warehouse supervisor, warehouseman, safety supervisor, paramedic, mine secretary, geotechnical engineer, electrical engineer, metallurgical engineer, mine welder, among others.
Applicants to fill the positions must enter the virtual table with the vacancy of their interest and if selected they will be contacted for a virtual interview on October 27.
