Mazatlán has been nominated in the World Travel Awards, competing against major cities in the world
Mazatlan, Sinaloa.- The State Undersecretary of Tourism, Juan José Ruiz González, assured that Mazatlán has a good chance of winning the award for “Best Destination”, a category to which the municipality was nominated for the World Travel Awards.
He stressed that this could be a reality thanks to the work that has been done in recent years.
“It is all the work that has been done in the port, for which we have been recognized as one of the destinations that we recover the fastest in the crisis, due to the health protocols that we could implement, and they are good indicators that the possibility of winning ”, he expressed.
Mazatlán is the only destination in Latin America that is nominated in this category, competing globally against countries such as New Zealand, the United States, South Africa, Ecuador, the United Arab Emirates, China, and Malaysia.
