Two Mexican higher education institutions ranked better than UNAM and IPN

The Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) and the Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey, are ranked as the best universities in Mexico in the ranking published by Times Higher Education (THE), above UNAM and the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN).

Both colleges ranked between 601 and 800, with an overall score of 30.2–36.3; while the National Autonomous University of Mexico was located at 801–1000; and the IPN at +1000, along with 12 more Mexican schools.

In Mexico, with 16 centers, the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana and the Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey stand out, ranked between 601 and 800.

Oxford is ranked as the best university in the world.

Meanwhile, the British University of Oxford was named the best in the world for the fifth consecutive year, according to the THE ranking.

However, the hierarchy is from the United States, which occupies eight of the top ten positions; leaving only one more to the United Kingdom, with the University of Cambridge in sixth position.

The American Stanford University, Harvard University, the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) make up the rest of the top 5.

Overall, the United States dominates the top 200 universities, with 59 centers in that category, followed by the United Kingdom (29) and Germany (21).
