Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, in San Luis Potosí, the proposals for the Municipal Program for Territorial Planning and Urban Development and the Urban Development Program of the Population Center (Programa Municipal de Ordenamiento Territorial y Desarrollo Urbano y Programa de Desarrollo Urbano del Centro de Población), are still under review by the Ministry of Urban Development, Housing, and Public Works (Seduvop). However, they could be authorized in September or October.

“These instruments are very important because they are used by the Urban Development Directorate of the municipal government to issue construction permits,” says Fernando Torre, president of the Municipal Planning Institute (IMPLAN).
