Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- Yesterday evening the Sinaloa Ministry of Health, through its head Efrén Encinas Torres, announced the update of infections and deaths from Covid-19 in Sinaloa, however, this time, the numbers increased due to certain ‘lags’ that were not reported to the authority.

Today’s report, June 3, indicated 220 new cases, due to the non-updating of reports that must be given to the corresponding authority.

With respect to the total number of patients, the figure already totals 3,466 infections, of which 52 are from Culiacán, 46 belong to Mazatlán, 36 in Ahome, 32 in Guasave, as well as 40 in Navolato, these being the municipalities with the most cases at the state level.

As for the death figures, 632 people are registered, with 130 new as of Wednesday; In contrast to the recovered figures, these mark 2,261 people, with 27 being the most recent cases.

Regarding the incidence of active cases by municipality, Culiacán remains at the top with 101 positives, while Mazatlán is below with one less case, that is, 100 positives.

Guasave reports 94 cases, Ahome 86, Salvador Alvarado 86 and Navolato 26.

As regards the municipalities with the lowest incidence, there is Angostura with 12, Mocorito 10, El Fuerte and Rosario 8, Sinaloa de Leyva 7, Concordia has 5 cases, San Ignacio 4 cases, Cosalá and Elota with 3 positives, and Badiraguato and Choix with 2.

It should be noted that the authorities continue to encourage the population to follow the instructions to avoid further infections.
