Anti-Covid measures should not be relaxed, there could be a strong relapse

In the State of Sinaloa, as in all of Mexico, the New Normal Strategy will begin next Monday, which will allow the reopening of social, educational and economic activities in the face of the Covid-19 health emergency. .

The State Health Secretary, Efrén Encinas Torres, explained that with the end of the National Sana Distancia Day “we have to take care of ourselves and that will depend on the high responsibility we have to carry out, the importance of not neglecting primary prevention actions, prepare and adapt to a new normal, “is detailed in a statement.

“We must not relax, if we have to think about the gradual, progressive, staggered re-opening, but with a security framework, it will depend on us not having a relapse, a major flare-up.”

“Although Sinaloa has hospital response capacity in general, we do not want us to become saturated in a hospital and prevention is better than regret and this is a lot of the empowerment of society, I know we can do it; Sinaloa, we all can, there is a lot of strength in the town of Sinaloa, let’s keep taking care of ourselves, whoever can should stay home if there is no indispensable activity that they have to do, ”he said.

The New Normality strategy provides clarity, security and certainty for the population, especially for workers, companies, as well as state and municipal governments, the Ministry of Health highlights in the statement.

Likewise, it favors a gradual, orderly and cautious reopening, so that it is safe and durable.

Its guiding principles are based on privileging health and life, moral economy and productive efficiency, solidarity with all and non-discrimination, and shared responsibility (public, private and social).

Thus, in Sinaloa, as of June 1, only essential activities will be in operation, including mining, construction, and manufacturing of transportation equipment.

It is important to note that we must not relax protection measures and social distancing, we cannot yet consider the spread of this virus to be controlled, if the return to activities implies that positive cases of COVID-19 increase again, it will be necessary to re-establish confinement, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).

It is essential to maintain preventive measures at home and in the workplace, including, in the latter case, physical distance, washing hands, sneezing, and not saying hello or kiss.
