Director of Sinaloa Civil Hospital tests positive

Culiacán, Sinaloa (April 21, 2020).- Dr. Israel Martínez tested positive for coronavirus, so a temporary director had to be appointed, in order to attend to cases that reach the Civil Hospital, better known now as “Hospital COVID”.

His state of health is stable and does not require artificial ventilation, his symptoms are mild, and his condition is not serious, so he is currently isolated at home.

The doctor is under medical supervision and complying with all protocols to avoid spreading the virus.

In an interview, the doctor said he is feeling good and that he will gradually come out of the symptoms he currently presents.

For the past week, Martínez Félix has been isolated and unable to work. He has been temporarily replaced by Dr. Sergio Irizar, who is coordinating all cases of coronavirus that arrive at the so-called “COVID Hospital”.
