Consumption in businesses in the Golden Zone has decreased by 70% due to road congestion
Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- With the remodeling works of Camarón Sábalo Avenue, sales in shops and restaurants have fallen by 70%, because with the existing road traffic people avoid that area revealed, Guillermo Romero Rodríguez.
The secretary of the Mazatlán Chamber of Commerce acknowledged that despite the fact that the work is only two weeks old and that the circulation of one lane is open, the damages are already suffering.
It is a reality that you already feel the low sales in restaurants and shops of the different turns, today to move from one place to another if before you did 10 minutes today last up to an hour, and that makes people do not get into this zone.
Romero Rodríguez called on the authorities to demand that the construction companies responsible for carrying out the works, comply with the promise of working 24 hours to achieve the estimated completion time.
Did I have to take a tour on Saturday and the machinery is alone, people are not seen despite the commitment to get the job done in four months, but with this, if you work during the day and rest on Sundays, you will easily go to six months.
He reiterated that they are in favor of this work that has an investment of 200 million pesos and that will beautify Mazatlan, but it also has to be aware of the authority that they have to work 24 hours and demand from the builders a quality work and that they comply the commitments, otherwise the work will be delayed and the affectations for the businesses of different turns will be greater, since at the moment they register levels of 30%.
“We know that the cost increases, but it is part of being more competitive, professional, especially since the Rafael Buelna and Camarón Sábalo avenues are two of the most important arteries in Mazatlan,” he concluded.
