Sinaloa.- The head of ISSSTE Sinaloa, Marcial Silva Gómez, invited men from all over Sinaloa to take advantage of the month of February adopted as the month of men’s health, to perform a free medical check-up in the units of this Health System.
He informed that throughout this month they will be conducting studies to detect various health problems in a timely manner and also prevention activities on addictions, on weight and obesity, diabetes, hypertension, and prostate cancer.
“In these five axes we are doing timely detection and health promotion, and also education to the population, there are also nurses, medical staff, social work staff, nutrition staff, who do the same work for it” , said.
The official stressed that it is not necessary to be a right-holder of the ISSSTE to attend his check-up, he only needs to go to the nearest unit to request the service.
Silva Gómez announced that last year around 30 thousand exams were carried out in a month, so it is expected that in this campaign that is underway, it will be exceeded.
He concluded that it is of the utmost importance that men break the paradigms and machismo that do not allow them to lead a culture of disease prevention and the habit of periodically reviewing their body.
