Governor Esteban Villegas Villarreal has announced the availability of more than 1,000 job opportunities across the state of Durango, highlighting a significant push to bolster local employment. The initiative includes 737 specific vacancies targeted at women, senior citizens, and people with disabilities in the cities of Durango capital and Gómez Palacio.

A major component of the recruitment drive involves the company DAWS, which is offering 300 job openings in Nombre de Dios. These positions are also open to residents of neighboring municipalities, including Vicente Guerrero and Poanas.

Of the vacancies reserved for vulnerable groups, 197 are located in Durango capital, while 540 are available in Gómez Palacio. Interested applicants are encouraged to consult the available positions, specific hiring requirements, and the contact details for each participating company.

New Digital Platform for Job Seekers

In a move to streamline the hiring process, Governor Villegas revealed that the state will launch a dedicated section on social media called “Empleos Durango” starting this Tuesday. This platform will provide weekly updates on new job openings, including information on salaries, required professional profiles, and direct contact information for employers.

The goal of the initiative is to facilitate easier access to employment opportunities by aligning available positions with the specific needs and professional experience of job seekers across the region.
