Mazatlán to Host 29th “Fiesta Amigos” Tourism Forum in November

- October 14, 2026

MAZATLÁN, Mexico — To bolster strategic alliances and enhance the destination’s tourism projection, the 29th edition of “Fiesta Amigos de Mazatlán” will be held from November 9 to 12. The event is set to bring together between 170 and 350 tour operators, travel agencies, and specialized media outlets from both national and international markets.

José Gámez Valle, a member of the Marketing Committee of the National Association of Hotel and Tourism Companies of Mazatlán (Canirac), noted that the dates were adjusted from their traditional late-October slot to ensure a more favorable climate for attendees.

\”We are ready. This year, the dates have shifted to November 9–12 to provide better weather. We expect between 170 and 350 attendees, including tour operators, tourism media, and national and international press,\” Gámez stated.

The business forum will be hosted at the Mazatlán Convention Center, which will feature at least 50 work stands. A dedicated portal for scheduling business meetings between various industry stakeholders has already been launched.

A highlight of the program is the presentation of the \”Golden Deer\” awards—a distinction given to commercial partners who have demonstrated a commitment to promoting and growing the destination throughout the year.

\”The Golden Deer is our way of thanking our commercial allies for their constant support of Mazatlán. This year holds special surprises, as several operators reported significant growth in visitor flow to the destination, with some seeing double and triple-digit increases,\” Gámez added.

Previous editions have seen global and national brands such as Volaris, WestJet, Expedia, Despegar.com, Apple Leisure Group, Sunwing Vacations, and Imacop Corporation receive this distinction for their contributions to the connectivity and promotion of the \”Pearl of the Pacific.\”

This event is considered a pivotal meeting point on the same level as major national forums like the Cancún Travel Mart, the VIP Summit in Los Cabos, or Gala Vallarta, reaffirming Mazatlán’s position as one of Mexico’s most important tourism platforms following the Tianguis Turístico.
