The historic center of Morelia recently became the focal point for automotive enthusiasts as the annual “KekoFest” rally kicked off its latest edition. A dazzling collection of exotic and high-end luxury vehicles—including models from brands like Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, and Porsche—gathered in the city’s main square before embarking on a scenic road trip toward the coastal destination of Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo, Guerrero.

Organized by Juan Sergio “Keko” Méndez, the private event brings together owners and fans of supercars for a weekend combining camaraderie with scenic travel across Michoacán and the Guerrero coast. The gathering of these high-performance automobiles drew large crowds of curious onlookers and locals to the heart of Morelia, eager to catch a glimpse of the impressive fleet before the convoy hit the highway.

Due to safety and logistical measures from past editions, the rally maintains a strictly private, invitation-only format to prevent unassociated vehicles from mingling with the organized convoy. With the departure of the supercars, Morelia once again served as a premier launchpad for a high-profile tourism and automotive event connecting the state capital with Mexico’s Pacific coast.
