Korean fan shows up at the Mexico vs. South Africa match and joins the party with Mexicans

A Korean fan decided to attend the Mexico vs. South Africa match wearing his South Korean national team jersey, and he was immediately spotted by the crowd, who ended up tossing him in the air and singing a song to him.

Mexican fans didn’t just win their first match of the World Cup against South Africa. They adopted a whole country.

After El Tri’s opening World Cup victory, a lone South Korean fan was spotted in the crowd — and Mexican supporters did what they do best: they lifted him up. Literally.

The chant rang out across the stadium: “Coreano, hermano, ya eres mexicano.”

This isn’t the first time. Back in 2018, South Korea knocked out Germany and saved Mexico from elimination. Mexicans flooded the Korean embassy with mariachi bands and sombreros to say thank you.

Six years later, that love is still alive — and now the whole world is watching.

That’s not just fútbol. That’s Mexico!
