Six Young People Disappear in Less Than 72 Hours in Sonora

Search Collective Asks for Public Support to Share Missing Persons’ Posters and Collaborate with Any Information That May Help Locate the Victims.

HERMOSILLO, Sonora – The Searching Mothers Collective of Sonora reported the disappearance of six young people in less than 72 hours in the municipalities of Hermosillo and Nogales, a situation that has raised alarms among family members and activists.

Through a public appeal, the collective requested the public’s support in sharing missing persons posters and collaborating with any information that may contribute to locating the victims. They also asked that any information be reported anonymously to the number 6623 41 56 16.

According to the report, Antonio Natanael Ahumada Maldonado and Francisco Othoniel Ahumada Maldonado disappeared in Nogales on April 23.

In that same municipality, Miguel Ángel Vásquez Valenzuela Osuna and Jhonatan Jesús Valenzuela Osuna were also reported missing.

Two more young people were reported missing in the state capital Hermosillo

The collective also reiterated the urgent need to publicize these cases and strengthen community collaboration for their prompt location.

In Hermosillo, the disappearance of Ángel Luciel García Muñoz and Angélica Deneyra García Lugo was reported, both also on April 23.
