Mining sector businessman kidnapped in Southern Sinaloa

A businessman in the mining sector was kidnapped at a mine in the town of La Labor, in San Ignacio, southern Sinaloa.

According to internal security sources, the incident occurred on the night of Tuesday, February 3, outside a mine.

This incident comes amidst a series of kidnappings of 10 miners from different states in the municipality of Concordia, also in southern Sinaloa.

The victim, identified as Ernesto “N,” 52 years old, was kidnapped when armed men arrived in pickup trucks and forced him inside.

No further information has been released regarding this case, and authorities have not yet commented.
