Employees from the corporate offices in Monterrey and Mexico City, as well as sales managers from the group’s 13 airports, are enjoying the port’s tourist attractions and cuisine.

Mazatlán is hosting the first business seminar of Grupo Aeroportuario OMA (OMA Airport Group), with 38 employees from the corporate offices in Monterrey and Mexico City, as well as sales managers from the group’s 13 airports, participating.

In addition to reviewing the 2025 results of OMA’s executive sales management and its teams, and developing strategies, defining priorities, and setting objectives for 2026, the participants have taken advantage of their stay in the port to visit the most emblematic tourist sites, its Historic Center, and sample the local cuisine.

Among the activities, the Secretary of Tourism of Sinaloa, Mireya Sosa Osuna, presented the actions that the Ministry of Tourism (Sectur) has taken in the last year to position Mazatlán as a world-class destination.

During her presentation, she emphasized that the work being done is forward-thinking and in synergy with business partners and strategic allies.

Regarding tourism infrastructure, she highlighted the investments made that have diversified the tourism offerings for visitors. She noted that there are currently 14 hotels under construction in the port, which will add 2,014 rooms to the more than 14,000 already available.

Manu, originally from France and a participant in the seminar, commented that this is his second time visiting Mazatlán, a place he enjoys for its food and the warmth of its people.

Nicole Moreta, from the Dominican Republic, praised the sunsets and the gastronomy of the port.

For Iwen, also from France and visiting Mazatlán for the first time, the Historic Center, with its history and musical essence, is what makes Mazatlán unique.

OMA Airport Group manages and operates 13 international airports in north-central Mexico, including Monterrey, Chihuahua, Mazatlán, and Culiacán, handling more than 23 million passengers annually.

The airport group has allocated an investment of 1.1 billion pesos to remodel Mazatlán International Airport, to be carried out over the next five years.
