Total gridlock on Mexican highways! Highway closures in Puebla, Jalisco, Michoacán, and Guanajuato: Sections affected today, November 26.

Among the states affected by highway closures are Jalisco, Michoacán, Guanajuato, Puebla, and Sinaloa; these are the affected highways.

The closure of some Mexican highways is reported for November 26, 2025; we share the highways and areas most affected by the road closures.

Closure on the Matamoros-Reynosa highway due to protesters

The closure of the Matamoros-Reynosa highway in Tamaulipas is occurring at kilometer 49+250; users are asked to take precautions.


The closure on the Tlaxcala highway continues; Alternative routes
Protesters continue their complete closure of the Los Reyes-Zacatepec highway in Tlaxcala; the blockade is reported at kilometer 71+500.

As an alternative route, the Libramiento Norte highway in Mexico City is recommended.


Three days of blockades on Michoacán highways!

For the third consecutive day, blockades continue on at least nine highways in Michoacán, four of them on the Mexico-Guadalajara highway; drivers are advised to take precautions.

The remaining closures are on federal highways in the Ciénega region, on the border with the state of Jalisco.

Michoacán highways that remain closed:

  • PANINDÍCUARO: Autopista de Occidente KM307, Toll Booth.
  • ECUANDUREO: Autopista de Occidente Mexico-Guadalajara KM360, Toll Booth. ZINAPÉCUARO: Toll Highway 15D Atlacomulco – Zapotlanejo, Toll Booth.
  • VISTA HERMOSA: Vista Hermosa-Tanhuato Highway, near SUKARNE.
  • VISTA HERMOSA: Western Highway Km 390, Toll Booth.
  • VISTA HERMOSA: Vista Hermosa-Ixtlán Highway Km 42.
  • SAHUAYO: Sahuayo-La Barca Federal Highway, near La Palma intersection.
  • VENUSTIANO CARRANZA: Sahuayo-La Barca Highway, near the four corners intersection.
  • VILLAMAR: Villamar-Jiquilpan Highway, near the IMSS Bienestar clinic in the Emiliano Zapata neighborhood.

Blockades at the Ocotlán tollbooth and on 5 highways in Jalisco; toll roads affected

Blockades have been in place for over 48 hours at the Ocotlán tollbooth and on at least five federal highways in Jalisco; passengers and motorists are facing the weather, lack of food, and basic services


The Mazatlán-Culiacán highway remains closed

Protesters continue to block the Mazatlán-Culiacán highway at the Costa Rica tollbooth near kilometer 178+800; caution is advised.

Additionally, road closures are reported on access roads near La Barca, Vista Hermosa, and Jiquilpan. Authorities recommend using alternate routes.

Road Closures in Guanajuato
In Guanajuato, the Pénjamo-Santa Ana Pacueco federal highway is completely blocked near the community of Laguna Larga de Cortés.

So far, this is the only highway closed in the entire state.

The Tlaxcala-Puebla highway is completely closed near the Zacatelco tollbooth; motorists are advised to take precautions.
