Mexican influencer ivanloopezmx was confronted by Haitian migrants while recording his street stalls in Monterrey. The incident has sparked debate about the presence of migrants in Mexico and their integration into society.

Amid the increase in migrants of various nationalities in Mexico, mainly from Central and South America, an incident that occurred in Monterrey, Nuevo León, has sparked controversy on social media.

Lopez shared a video in which he is confronted by Haitian migrants while recording his street stalls on public roads.

In the video, the influencer was walking through the streets of Monterrey when he came across a group of Haitians selling products such as ointments, toothbrushes, and other personal hygiene items. “There is a stream of Haitians, look. Let’s see what they sell,” said ivanloopezmx, who decided to approach to show the products in his content.

However, the situation became awkward when the vendors asked him not to film. “Can I not film the products? No, not you, the products,” the influencer asked. Despite his explanation, the Haitians insisted that he should ask permission before filming, and one of them, visibly upset, told him: “Don’t ask anyone, just do it. You have to ask.”

Faced with the vendors’ attitude, the influencer reminded them that he was on a public road, but the Haitians continued to demand that he stop filming. “No, it’s not private because I’m in the street…” ivanloopezmx tried to explain, but was interrupted by one of the vendors, who ordered him: “Go away, you can’t be here, go away.”

As he left, the influencer expressed his indignation: “Well, they’re already chasing me away, friends. The Haitians are chasing me away. That’s how we’re going to chase them off the streets. I’m going to talk to Immigration.” He also pointed out that the vendors did not have permits to operate in the area.

The video ended with the influencer expressing his anger: “I’m on the street, now the Haitians are chasing us, now it turns out that they are chasing us Mexicans!”

This incident has generated a wide debate on social media about the presence of migrants in Mexico and their integration into society. While some users support migrants and highlight their right to seek opportunities, others criticize the lack of regulation and the attitude shown in the video.

The case reflects the challenges that Mexico faces in the face of the increase in migrants, especially after the Donald Trump government tightened immigration measures in the United States, which has led many people to settle temporarily or permanently in Mexican territory.

For now, the authorities have not issued an official statement about the incident, but the video has highlighted the need to comprehensively address the situation of migrants in the country.
