The Secretary of Tourism of the Government of Mexico, Josefina Rodríguez Zamora, shared the launch of the campaign “A Sea of Stories”, which aims to position Mazatlán as an ideal place for vacationing and a benchmark in the industry of meetings, sports, weddings, fishing, and other tourism segments.
The campaign includes promoting the beaches, restaurants, and all the attractions of Mazatlán in different media at national and international levels; in addition, activations will be carried out in several Mexican cities such as Torreón, Monterrey, Saltillo, Durango, Guadalajara, Mexico City, San Luis, and Queretaro, to promote regional tourism.
The head of the Ministry of Tourism (Sectur) reiterated the commitment of Sectur to work together to position the port as a tourist reference, where tourism generates social well-being and jobs for its inhabitants.
During the campaign’s presentation, the Secretary of Tourism in Sinaloa, Mireya Sosa Osuna, said that “A Sea of Stories shows that Mazatlán is much more than a tourist destination; it is a place where each visitor can immerse themselves in an ocean of unique and memorable experiences.”
She stressed that it is about positioning Mazatlan as a brand, as a destination in which all the actors in the sector share a strong sense of belonging: hoteliers, restaurateurs, state and municipal, to achieve synergy.
Rodríguez Zamora said that, with the celebration of cultural, gastronomic, sporting, and artistic events in 2025, the Pearl of the Pacific will consolidate itself as a tourist power.

In April, people will be able to enjoy this tourist destination with the Polanco Jazz Festival in its 20th edition, the Motorcycle Week, and the José Limón Dance Festival.
During May, Mazatlán will host important congresses and conventions, such as Conem 2025; InfoAgro Exhibition México, where attendees will be able to conduct business within the national and international markets, with conferences and personnel that will help improve the strategies of agricultural producers; the Copa Mazatlán University Congress, as well as the Mexi Log Fest Surf Tournament.
In June, more than 200 artists of all genres will participate in four simultaneous stages with five hours of continuous music, in the celebration of Music Day and in October the Friends of Mazatlán Festival, which will promote the destination nationally and internationally.
