Experts in the scientific and culinary fields will meet at the Science & Cooking World Congress Mexico 2024, which will be held from September 3 to 5 at the University of Monterrey (Udem). This event is being held for the first time outside of Europe, which will allow the state to position itself in the global gastronomic industry.

The University of Monterrey describes this important Congress as follows: “It talks about gastronomy from the ingredients of sustainability, research, science and health.”

This congress has been possible thanks to the efforts of the Nuevo León Tourism Secretariat, whose head is Maricarmen Martínez, and the state’s Agri-Food Cluster, among others.

In a statement, the Ministry of Tourism mentions that the participation of Rodrigo Velázquez was key to bringing the event to Nuevo León and ensuring the presence of Moez El Shohdi, founder and CEO of the Egyptian Food Bank, one of the largest non-governmental organizations in that country.

The Science & Cooking World Congress NL 2024, founded by Ferran Adrià, Joan Roca and Pere Castells, is a unique opportunity to promote education, innovation and sustainability in the gastronomic industry. This congress will be an essential platform for chefs, researchers, producers and specialists from various areas.

The state government, in collaboration with various institutions and companies, has designed this Congress to position Nuevo León as a leading destination in sustainable gastronomic tourism. An example of this are the “Zero Hunger Nuevo León” programs and alliances with the Conservatory of Mexican Gastronomic Culture, which reflect this commitment.

The Science & Cooking World Congress Nuevo León 2024 is an opportunity for the entity to continue building a legacy at the intersection of gastronomy, science and tourism.

The event features 30 presentations, including “Gastronomy and Artificial Intelligence.”
