The tragedy of a serious accident that occurred in Real de Catorce, where there were dead and injured, was captured through different videos that were published by a tourist on Facebook, where the screams of the people could be heard.
The events occurred last Monday, August 5, in the Cuesta de los Arrepentidos, which is located on the road that leads to said magical town in Estación Catorce.
Upon arriving at the scene, Matehuala Firefighters confirmed that a red Jeep-type car was involved in the accident, which was destroyed and overturned on the ground.
Through social networks, it was reported that some people who were traveling in the car are originally from Apodaca, Nuevo León, named José Guadalupe Coronado, 59 years old, and Angélica, a minor of 12.

At the moment, the authorities are investigating whether it was a mechanical failure or the driver’s lack of expertise to drive in that area that caused the accident.
María Fernanda, who posted the videos on Facebook, said that she was on a tour of the place, but after 10 minutes two adults began to shout for help.
“On Monday, August 5, we went on a tour in Real de 14, the trucks were in terrible condition. After 10 minutes on the road, we saw two adults shouting for help, they were covered in blood and had broken bones.”
