A few hours after the arrest of Ismael El Mayo Zambada was recorded, a search at the Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBP) revealed that Ovidio Guzmán López, alias “El Ratón,” was released last Tuesday, July 23.
Ovidio Guzmán López, with registration number 72884-748, would have been released on July 23; however, no official authority has confirmed this information, as well as the possible whereabouts of Joaquín Guzmán Loera’s son, in case it was a transfer to another prison.
“El Ratón” was arrested on January 5, 2023 in the town of Jesús María, Municipality of Culiacán, Sinaloa; and suddenly, on September 15, his extradition to the United States was announced to face charges related to fentanyl trafficking.
