A strong fire was recorded this Thursday afternoon in the Jaguar Park, located in Tulum, Quintana Roo, a project that accompanies the Mayan Train.

The State Coordination of Civil Protection of Quintana Roo reported that a report of a fire in the park was received through 911.

According to preliminary information, no injuries have been reported so far; The fire has been controlled and put out by the team of firefighters and civil protection personnel.

The park has an area of approximately 2,913 hectares and is made up of the Tulum National Park (PNT) and the Jaguar Flora and Fauna Protection Area (APFFJ).

This park, which will be inaugurated in January 2024, is an ecological-recreational space that will promote cultural, creative and natural tourism.

It will be one of the attractions that will accompany the Mayan Train, one of the most important megaprojects of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
