Although it has also become a luxury destination, with hotels and restaurants, where the prices for accommodation and food are high and for much more demanding clients. However, there are other options for more adventurous tourists with hostels and public services for ‘backpackers’.
In the case of Playa del Carmen, the beaches, Fifth Avenue and nightlife are the main attractions for visitors, which is also much kinder on the wallet, as it has cheaper options to stay, eat and go out to party.
