The criminal groups could be from Sinaloa, Chihuahua or Durango, but so far, more details are unknown, said the Secretary of Security, Gerardo Mérida.

Culiacán, Sinaloa – After the confrontation that cost the life of an individual in the mountain area of Rosario, the Secretary of Public Security in Sinaloa, Gerardo Mérida Sánchez, announced plans to increase police presence and improve security in the region.

In an interview about this, the head of security in the state confirmed that the person found dead was a man with gunshot wounds. Furthermore, he revealed that no person has been arrested in relation to these events.

     “There is no person detained. “We have no more information apart from what the Attorney General’s Office handles,” he commented.

Regarding the shielding announced by Governor Rubén Rocha Moya, Mérida Sánchez said that there is coordination between the authorities of the neighboring states to maintain security conditions.

     “We will continue patrolling and conducting tours, and we will increase the number of troops,” said the new Secretary of Public Security in Sinaloa.

Likewise, the police chief did not specify where the criminal groups are from, but revealed that they could be from Sinaloa, Durango or Chihuahua.

Governor Rubén Rocha Moya was also asked about this, who stated: “In versions it is said that they may be people who come from Nayarit, but there is no further information. It is close to the dam works, the road to Las Negras and Las Negras is Durango. “It’s close to the limits.”
