Woman who robbed patrol car in Cabo is linked to the process

Based on the evidence presented by the Public Ministry agent, a Control Judge linked a woman identified as Maribel “N” to the process for the crime of motor vehicle theft, for events that occurred in Cabo San Lucas. 

According to the first investigations, in the early hours of Saturday, August 12 of this year, on Blvd. Lázaro Cárdenas between José María Morelos and Ignacio Zaragoza, in the Centro neighborhood of Cabo San Lucas, the defendant seized a Pick Up truck – patrol of the Directorate of Public Safety and Municipal Transit – without authorization from whoever could grant it. 

During the initial hearing held on Friday, the 18th of the current month, the Agent of the Public Ministry Specialized in Attention to Detained Persons, provided sufficient evidence in which the probable responsibility of Maribel “N” was accredited, which allowed the formulation of charges in against her for the crime of motor vehicle theft. 

The Control Judge imposed the precautionary measure of preventive detention and set three months for the closure of the investigation.
