American travelers are having fun in the sun, but theyâre thinking beyond old standbys like CancĂșn. U.S. travelers put the brakes on trips to CancĂșn and neighboring Riviera Maya this spring, turning their attention to destinations like Europe, Japan, and other parts of the Caribbean.
The number of U.S. travelers flying nonstop to CancĂșnâthe biggest Mexican resort regionâfell slightly compared with the same period a year before, according to data from the U.S. Department of Commerceâs International Trade Administration.
