The most important celebration of the Oaxacan people, the #Guelaguetza2023 is getting closer, and along with it comes “La Feria del Mezcal”.
The 2023 Mezcal Fair is one of the most anticipated events during this celebration. Oaxaca produces more than 90% of this ancient drink and has the largest variety of agaves to produce Mezcal in all of Mexico. In its XXIV edition, the 2023 International Mezcal Fair expects to bring together more than 70 brands.
When and where is the 2023 Mezcal Fair taking place?
The official dates have been published by the Government of the state of Oaxaca, the 2023 International Mezcal Fair will be held at the Oaxaca Cultural and Convention Center from July 14 to 25, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. the night.
What time to arrive?

If you visit the Mezcal Fair in the company of your family, the ideal time is from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., since you will have the fair with few visitors, being able to walk the aisles without complications.
If you visit the 2023 International Mezcal Fair with your friends or partner, the time that we can recommend is from 4:00 p.m., to tour the stands, enjoy the Mezcal and later the music, and an incomparable atmosphere among the attendees. It should be noted that this time is the busiest, so it is difficult to walk between the stands, however, it is when there is more atmosphere.
How much does it cost?
According to the organizers of the event, the entrance will cost $68 pesos. Older adults with Inapam credentials and children under 12 years of age do not pay and the ticket office is located in the Convention Center itself, which closes at 9:30 p.m.
Transport
If you want to arrive by car at the Convention Center, the ideal time is before 4:00 p.m., since parking will be in high demand, so to avoid long waits or inconveniences, the best option is to arrive early.
A taxi from the Historic Center to the convention center can charge a fee between 70 to 100 pesos. You can also arrive by bus that the State Government enables to facilitate and expedite the arrival of visitors. In the event there will be different options to eat, so you will not have to leave the place to be able to taste the typical foods of Oaxacan gastronomy. Mezcal can whet your appetite.
