The Spanish hotel company Iberostar advances in hotel projects in Nayarit and Los Cabos. It has planned an investment of 60 million dollars to develop a new property in Punta Mita, Nayarit, specifically in the Litibú complex that is managed by the National Fund for Tourism Promotion (FONATUR).

Rodrigo Silveyra, director of operations for Iberostar America, said that the project is in the final phase of obtaining environmental permits, such as the Environmental Impact Statement, so construction will begin shortly.

Silveyra also revealed that the Iberian company has a 2 million-meter piece of land on the coast of Los Cabos, where they are developing the conceptual part of another project, which would mark their arrival in that area of the north of the country and that, in turn, will contribute to the diversification of its portfolio, which, until now, has been concentrated in Quintana Roo.

“In Los Cabos, Baja California Sur, it will be an entire project of two hotels, with approximately a thousand rooms and where we are in the process of processing and complying with the respective permits,” Silveyra reported.
