The governor of Sinaloa, Rubén Rocha Moya, informed in a press conference that the Mazatlán Aquarium can be rented to hold social events in the marine species shelter.

This was confirmed by the state governor after he was questioned in a press conference about some images that went viral over the weekend, where a social event could be seen taking place inside the premises.

“The Aquarium is a private building, which is finally managed by a concession through a public-private association, so it can be rented for that purpose,” the governor declared.

“But what happened over the weekend, I call it an act of frivolity”, he continued.

“The party or social event of some sort that some officials decided to have inside the building is something totally unacceptable, and measures will be taken so that this does not happen again,” concluded Rubén Rocha Moya, governor of the state of Sinaloa.
