The foreign person, an older adult, argued that it was the Google Maps application on her cell phone that wrongly indicated this access
Oaxaca de Juárez.- A foreign person, who is unknown if he is a resident or a tourist in the city of Oaxaca, was exhibited on social networks through photos and videos, after he tried to enter the Plaza de la Danza aboard his truck .
The images show the exact moment in which the person, an older adult, entered through the upper part of the green quarry staircase, which leads to one of the entrances to the Temple of San José and Bellas Artes, entering through the avenue Jose Maria Morelos.
A police officer came to the place, who was in charge of explaining to the person that the stairway is not an access for motorized vehicles.
According to local news media, the driver of the truck argued that it was the Google Maps application on his cell phone that wrongly indicated this access.
This is not the first incident of this type, in which a tourist tries to enter with a motorized vehicle in an area that is not allowed; It was the case of a person who tried to climb the steps that lead to Cerro del Fortín in his car.
