The Puebla Red Cross confirmed six deaths from the accident that occurred this afternoon on the Amozoc-Perote highway, near Zitlaltepec, a municipality in the state of Tlaxcala.
At least three vehicles were involved in the tragic incident, which took place passing the Amozoc toll booth, heading towards Puebla, where two of the units caught fire.
Three people (all women) were hospitalized, one of them a minor.
According to the first reports, one of the vehicles was being driven at excessive speed when a tire blew out, so it lost control and collided with the other two units.
