The Guadalajara Metropolitan Area, Puerto Vallarta, and Mexico City will host the fifth edition of Tequila Cocktail Week, which was born in commemoration of National Tequila Day, which will take place from March 11 to 18.
“What we want with Tequila Day is to commemorate the drink that is the heritage of all of us; It is the first denomination of origin in Mexico and we want people to have this pride in the Mexican drink”.
For six days, people interested in acquiring new knowledge regarding tequila and experiencing the taste of this drink with all their senses, may attend any of the programmed activities, for example on March 14 at 6:00 p.m. at La Casa de Los Perros will be taught to taste tequila, and on Friday the 17th to prepare cocktails like a true mixologist.
The Tequila Cocktail Week will also have 25 cultural activities, seven exhibitions, 11 concerts, and 4 theatrical presentations.
Municipalities such as Tequila and Jamay also joined the festivity, where there will also be tastings of this drink.
According to the president of the National Chamber of the Tequila Industry, Luis Fernando Felix, seven out of 10 tourists visit Jalisco for its tequila culture.
