Since Saturday, February 4, the owners of Gas Express Nieto, Gas Mundial and Gas Global have received extortion calls and collection of fees, reported the newspaper El Sur.

Armed attack on women in the center

On the afternoon of this Tuesday, February 7, in the center of Zihuatanejo, three women were shot at by a man who fled on a motorcycle.

The armed attack occurred near the Milano and AT&T stores. The State Attorney General’s Office was the instance in charge of doing the cabinet and field work.

Due to the attack, María ‘N’ died in the hospital, while Adilene ‘N’ and Maritza ‘N’ were injured and remain hospitalized, reported the State Attorney General’s Office.

The attack took place on Vicente Guerrero street, almost in front of the facilities of the Common Jurisdiction Public Ministry. Four 9-mm casings were found at the scene.

In 2022, Guerrero registered 1,360 intentional homicides and 13 femicides, according to data from the Executive Secretariat of the National Public Security System.
