VMware and Oracle bring new strategic alliance to Mexico

The strategic alliance announced in 2019 aims to support both companies’ cloud strategies for customers.

Mexico City, December 2022.- VMware and Oracle strengthen their alliance at the local level with the aim of meeting the needs for flexibility, innovation, and security in Mexico through the  Oracle Cloud VMware Solution.

The collaboration between these companies is possible thanks to the first Oracle Cloud Region installed in Mexico, in operation since July 2022. This infrastructure provides customers, partners, and developers with access to a wide range of cloud services with integrated security, recovery of disasters, and data residency, as well as the availability of VMware applications within the Oracle Cloud environment in Mexico.

With Oracle Cloud VMware Solution, Oracle addresses business requirements head-on by combining security, predictability, and control. Enterprises can migrate their VMware workloads on a global scale and extend existing security policies and best practices to all environments.

Oracle Cloud VMware Solution offers consistency in VMware operational best practices, published and predictable costs for cloud infrastructure, and a solid foundation for managing data in, out, and accessibility without punitive financial repercussions.

Leveraging VMware Cloud Foundation with integrated security and Kubernetes embedded in Oracle Cloud, customers can get a consistent, unified cloud infrastructure and operations platform to migrate and modernize applications faster while seamlessly moving workloads between environments. on-premises and Oracle Cloud.

In Mexico, according to information from the specialized site Data Center Map, there are currently 14 data centers installed in the states of Jalisco, Colima, CDMX, Nuevo León, Sonora, Querétaro, and the State of Mexico.
