TLAXCALA, MEXICO (December 9, 2022).- The State Government received congratulations from the United States Embassy in Mexico, for having convened and held the First Meeting of Patrimonial and Economic Intelligence Units (UIPE) of the area center of the country, called “Intelligence units against money laundering”.
For this reason, he reiterated his support for the administration headed by Lorena Cuéllar Cisneros, to support financial investigations and prosecutions through the Department of Justice and other instances, in order to share experiences and join efforts against operations with resources of illicit origin.
The head of the Patrimonial and Economic Intelligence Unit of Tlaxcala (Uipet), Neri Toshiro León Sauza reported that during the first year of government four complaints were filed for operations with resources of illegal origin, with the collaboration of the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic (FGR).
It should be remembered that, in that first zone meeting, the states of Hidalgo, Puebla, Mexico City, the State of Mexico, Morelos, and Oaxaca participated, who agreed to join efforts to generate the exchange of information between federal entities, with the purpose of detecting and stop possible operations related to money laundering.
In this way, the state government endorses the commitment to combat crime from different trenches and is pleased to have the support of national and international authorities.
