Municipality of Oaxaca announces Day of the Dead holiday

Oaxaca de Juarez. Authorities of the municipality of Oaxaca announced the festivities within the framework of the Day of the Dead 2022.

At a press conference, the Secretariats of Tourism Promotion and Art and Culture of the Oaxaca de Juárez City Council, in coordination with the State Government, announced different artistic and cultural activities in the Oaxacan capital from October 27 to November 2.

They indicated that after two years of suspending activities due to the COVID-19 pandemic, activities will resume this year, in order to achieve an economic benefit in the entity.

The organizers indicated that there will be musical presentations, contests, costume contests, and facades, among other activities, whose schedules can be consulted through the social networks of the municipality and the secretariats that they organize.

They also stated that an economic benefit of more than 100 million pesos and a hotel occupancy of over 90 percent are expected.

The activities in question will start next Thursday, October 27 with a great troupe that will depart at 6 in the afternoon from El Llano park to Plaza de la Danza.
