341 people were killed during the four-day wave of violence in Mexico

This is an average of 68 people killed per day, between Wednesday, August 10 and Sunday, August 14, according to figures published by the Secretariat for Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC).

The Security Report that the SSPC publishes every day warns that of the total number of intentional murders, 135 (39.5 percent) occurred in the states of Jalisco, Guanajuato, Chihuahua, Baja California and Michoacán.

These entities are taken as a reference since a series of extremely violent events occurred in them during the reference period (Wednesday to Sunday). Said criminal actions included drug blockades on avenues and highway sections; burning of private vehicles and public transport; commercial establishments set on fire, as well as direct attacks against the civilian population.

According to the figures, on Wednesday, August 10 (when acts of violence attributed to the Jalisco New Generation Cartel were recorded in Jalisco and Guanajuato) there were 64 intentional homicides in Mexico.

On Thursday, August 11 (the day that Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, registered a fight in a state prison and as a result armed attacks were perpetrated, coordinated by organized crime, even against the civilian population), there were 81 murders in the country. .

On Friday, August 12 (when the violence moved to Tijuana, Baja California and Guanajuato, states where cars were burned and roadblocks) there were 62 violent murders in Mexico.

While on Saturday, August 13 (the day that violent acts were recorded in Michoacán, where 167 armed civilians were detained and National Guardsmen were held for several hours) there were 72 intentional homicides committed in our country.
