A total of 79 archaeological pieces and two paleontological pieces were returned to Mexico last week.
The objects from the Mayan, Zapotec, and Teotihuacan cultures were voluntarily delivered by an American couple to the Mexican Consulate in Los Angeles.
The Embassy of Mexico in Sweden also received two pre-Hispanic pieces that the Swedish company Absolut used in the 1950s and 1960s for an advertising campaign and that the INAH ruled originally from the cultural tradition of Tumbas del Tiro, which developed between the 300s B.C. to 600 AD in western Mexico.
