For the second consecutive day, the death of another motorcyclist is reported on the Mérida ring road.
Given the unfortunate events of last Friday, in which a young woman died due to injuries caused by the impact of a car against the motorcycle on which she was traveling as a passenger, the Ministry of Public Security (SSP) reported that the probable person responsible for the road accident is an active member of the police force, who was not working because he was on his day off.
The driver of the car was immediately placed at the disposal of the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) by elements of the SSP, an authority that in turn determined the accusation.
The Control Judge granted the duplicity of the constitutional term for the hearing of connection to the process, which will take place next Friday the 25th, and issued the precautionary measures that it deemed pertinent.
It should be noted that the Mérida peripheral has been involved in several accidents with fatal outcomes, such as the case of a man who was run over and died instantly.
