QUERÉTARO, Qro., February 4, 2022.- The Ministry of Citizen Security (SSC) reported that starting this Friday at 11 p.m., road closures will begin in the historic center of the capital.
This is on the occasion of the visit of the President of the Republic, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, to head the ceremony of the anniversary of the Political Constitution of 1919, this February 5.
The SSC added that vehicular circulation is expected to open again this Saturday, at the end of the event, that is, around noon.
According to the SSC, the streets that will be affected are the following:
- Corregidora Avenue from Zaragoza, to University Avenue
- Allende Avenue, from Zaragoza to University
Although there are closures in the Center, these are exclusively for vehicles, so pedestrian access will remain intact.
When there will be a restriction on the pedestrian pass, it will be tomorrow, February 5, since the ceremony event will be taking place.
The streets that will be closed to pedestrian traffic are:
- Angela Peralta
- 16 of September
- Juarez
- corregidor
This box will remain closed, since the Teatro de la República will be the commemorative venue, like every year.
Finally, the SSC reported that vehicular activities in the area will be restored around noon on Saturday, February 5.
