An accident between an ADO bus and a van on the Oaxaca-Cuacnopalan highway left at least three dead early this Friday.
The events took place at kilometer 169, near Asunción Nochixtlán, where both vehicles allegedly hit each other head-on.
First reports indicate that the victims were tourists who were traveling aboard a van.
At least 8 people were injured, who were treated and transferred to a hospital in the Oaxacan capital.
The unharmed bus passengers were transferred to another unit to their destination.
Elements of the National Guard cordoned off the area of the incident, while the corresponding procedures are being carried out to define responsibilities.
