Elvia Martí was identified as the wife of Iván Tornel Castillo, doctor of the IMSS-Bienestar Program, and coordinator of transfers in the Plan to Reinforce the Vaccination Against COVID-19 in Chiapas, who says she coordinates the Mexican Foundation of Medicine and Culture, AC.
According to the video, Tornel Castillo allowed a helicopter loaded with vaccines to deviate from its original route so that his wife could see the Sumidero Canyon from above.
The influencer made a private overflight over the Sumidero Canyon in a helicopter from the Civil Protection Rescue team, a Bell 407 with XC LLO registration, in addition to posing with the aircraft in the State Government hangar, Vanguardia shared.
Civil Protection of Chiapas published that through the Ministry of Civil Protection, the state government condemned the use made by officials of the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS) of images captured during an air transfer of drugs used for the care of the health emergency due to COVID-19.
It is unknown which brand of vaccine was transferred, but the change in the original trajectory could affect the performance of the vaccines, a fact that was highlighted by Luis Manuel García, secretary of Civil Protection in Chiapas.
Zoé Robledo, director of the IMSS, requested an investigation, and legal matters were taken against all the officials involved in the images that were disseminated on social networks.
“The Government of Chiapas reiterates that in this administration the official aircraft are for the exclusive use of tasks related to Civil Protection, Health and Safety, always seeking the direct benefit of the population.
Gone are those times when airplanes and helicopters were used for recreational trips by officials, ”said García Moreno.
