In two different cases, two municipal presidents died in the state of Tlaxcala, just a few days after taking office. Both of them won their respective election in the last electoral process of June 6.
The first case occurred in the municipality of Xaltocan, where the elected mayor of La Ascensión Huitzcolotepec, Esteban Cortés Torres, was infected with covid -19 and after several days of fighting against the disease, the man lost the battle.
The elected mayor achieved victory representing the Progressive Social Networks Party (Redes Sociales Progresivas); and in this case, María Victoria Marcelina Hernández Lozano is possibly the one who will assume the position.
The second case took place in the municipality of Huamantla; for unknown reasons, the president-elect of San Martín Notario took his life by ingesting pills in large quantities.
Jesús N., 33 years old, who won the electoral process in the community of San Martín Notario for the National Regeneration Movement party (Morena), committed suicide.
