Cinedot will compete with Cinépolis and Cinemex

The chain of cinemas also revealed what the price of their tickets will be.

The Cinépolis and Cinemex market comes to compete with Cinedot, the third chain of cinemas that begins operations with 120 theaters in Mexico City, the Metropolitan area, and the center of the country.

This chain will generate 800 direct jobs and 4 thousand indirect jobs in its first 24 months of life, the brand assures.

The way to acquire tickets to attend functions will be totally digital, through an “order and collect” system from the smartphone, where the ticket, the food will be bought and only a QR will be presented to enter the cinemas, explains Cinedot it’s a statement.

The first two complexes, which have 15 rooms, and which will be open to the public from July 8, are located in the municipalities of Coacalco de Berriozábal and Los Reyes La Paz, in the State of Mexico.

According to information from El Financiero, this project is supported by private equity such as Ares Capital Partners and others with a majority of Mexicans, with Ramón Estévez being the CEO and Andrés Capdepon, chairman of the board of directors.

Interestingly, the first two branches that will start operations in July were previously operated by Cinépolis.
