We are about to celebrate the bicentennial of the Consummation of the Independence of Mexico, for this the Bank of Mexico will issue the new commemorative note of twenty pesos.

As we have seen, in the last Mexican banknotes there is a side dedicated to the natural wealth of the country, considered as ‘Natural Heritage’. For this edition, the $ 20 bill will feature a landscape of the Sian Ka´an Biosphere Reserve in Quintana Roo .

Among the species that we will see are the Mexican crocodile ( Crocodylus moreletii ) and the red mangrove ( Rhizophora mangle ).

We will be able to see the putting into circulation of this in the following months, surely close to September, the month of the national celebration.
