Looking to spend New Year’s Eve in Tulum?

With a relatively low amount of active cases, Mexico and more specifically Tulum have a wonderful program for New Year’s Eve 2020. Paradisiac beaches and legendary artists will guide you through the end of 2020 and the beginning of 2021 but, how reach Mexico, and what are the guidelines to follow to avoid any Covid-19 related issue?

With the Covid-19 pandemic still ongoing in most of the Western world, with Europe and the USA having difficulty to contain the second wave, there are some destinations around the world that have managed to keep the spreading under control.

Tulum is a town on the Caribbean coastline of Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula. It’s known for its beaches and well-preserved ruins of an ancient Mayan port city. A paradisiac place where you can take some time to disconnect from the world and recharge your battery for the next year.

As every year, the iconic Zamna Tulum is organizing a series of parties with top-notch underground DJs from around the world. From New Year’s Eve throughout all January, Zamna Tulum will host a series of parties featuring world-renowned DJs like Luciano, Marco Carola, Ame, Dixon, Mathame, Tale Of Us, Fideles, Claptone, and more.

But, how can you travel to Mexico? If you are a United State of America citizen and you travel from within the US the border will be closed until at least January 21st for non-essential travel. The restrictions happen to be in force for land-travel only. This means that you can still travel to Mexico from the US via air. Travelers do not need to show a negative COVID-19 test result or quarantine on arrival.

Upon arrival in Mexico, travelers face health screenings like temperature checks (this information may change over time; be sure to check the official Embassy website for up-to-date news https://mx.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/covid-19-information/). Worth knowing that Mexico has always welcomed abroad tourists without asking for mandatory quarantine of a Covid-19 negative test.

Mexico applies the same policies to travelers from Europe but, you have to take in mind that your country of origin could ask you to quarantine for up 2 weeks after returning home. Because every country in Europe may apply different regulations we suggest to check the website of your embassy in Mexico or the Foreign Ministery website of your country.

Another thing to take into consideration is that not every European country provides a direct link to Mexico by air. For instance, Italy has suspended every direct flight from Mexico provided by Alitalia, Neos, and Blue Panorama. You can still travel to Mexico via Air France, KLM, Lufthansa, Aeromexico, and Iberia. Most of these flights land in Mexico City so you’ll probably need to take some sort of local flight or transport to Tulum.

As abovementioned, Tulum has become one of the only places around the world to offer a New Year’s Eve party keeping great attention regarding Covid-19 guidelines. Zamna Tulum has put in place a massive health protocol to ensure that everyone could spend a fantastic New year’s Eve in total safety.

First of all, limited capacity has been established for all Zamna events. Access to them will always be organized using the minimum mandatory safety distance. Hand sanitizers will be available at the gate and inside the event’s area. You’ll have your temperature checked at the gate and you’ll have to wear a face mask throughout the whole event. Oxygen saturation measurement and a rapid antibody test will be done to every guest attending the parties. Guests will be registered on Zamna monitoring and prevention platform.

There will be a medical module with qualified personal at any time during the events. A sanitizing tunnel will be located prior to access to the party area. The huge spaces provided by Zamna Tulum and the limited capacity will let you keep the interpersonal safety distance while enjoying incredible music by the huge lineup provided.
