Unofficially, the identity of seven of the 14 people who died this Monday on the Tepic-Guadalajara highway due to an explosion of an LP gas pipe has been released

Guadalajara, Jalisco.- Unofficially, the identity of 7 of the 14 people who died this Monday due to an explosion of a pipe on the Tepic-Guadalajara highway has been released, which, according to the State Attorney General’s Office, reached an extension of about 2 hectares.

Jorge Rodríguez Martínez, Secretary of Public Security of Nayarit, also declared that due to the explosion, the shock wave that destroyed farmland and a house where day laborers rest, however, the presence of victims was ruled out in his previous one.

Through their social networks, the Prosecutor’s Office had already reported that at the scene of the accident there had been four totally damaged vehicles: an lp gas tuck, two compact vehicles and a Suburban-type truck of which no plates, colors, or other characteristics are observed, However, today the identity of the possible crew members of said units has been revealed on social networks, as well as the number of people traveling in each unit.

According to data provided by the Nayarit Prosecutor’s Office, the 14 fatalities were found in the following units:

  • 6 bodies inside the Suburban-type truck:  In this car, which was left on the hill, were traveling Juan Carlos Rivera, who was the director of the Facebook information and tourism portal Hola Nayarit, whose destination was Tequila, Jalisco.

  • Along with him were the spouses María Fluviana and Celedonio Prado, the latter former director of the technical high school 88 of the Isla de la Piedra community, in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, who died.

  • In addition, there were the brothers from the municipality of Santiago Ixcuintla: Alfredo Elizalde and Mayra Avilene Elizalde, 31 years old, who is the only survivor of the explosion and who is torn between life and death due to injuries in 90% of her body and would be transferred from the Hospital de Hierro in Tepic to a hospital in Guadalajara, however, the doctors determined today that at the moment it was not possible due to the multiple organ failure and hemodynamic instability that she presents.

Mayra Avilene Elizalde, the only survivor of the expansion, for whom today her relatives ask for help for medical treatment, as they say they still do not receive help from the insurer of the damaged lp truck
  • 3 bodies in the compact vehicle type Cruze: on this today it was revealed that it is indeed a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze brand car in wine/cherry color, with plates CND580B from the state of Guanajuato. 

  • In it were traveling Jessica Araceli and Verónica López Prado, as well as Diego a baby of the latter, who lost their lives. It is said that they were originally from Siloa, Guanajuato, and were heading to Puerto Vallarta, in the company of other relatives, to celebrate their mother Lolita’s birthday.
    Verónica had been an educator for approximately 6 years, she taught at the Colegio de la Montaña, in Silao; later he worked in another preschool in the municipality of Romita. Jessica was a logistics and transportation engineer who graduated from the Universidad Politécnica del Bicentenario, in the municipality of Silao. “The two were married, and the whole family was going to celebrate the lady’s birthday, but it is something we cannot believe,” revealed a friend of the deceased.

  • For his part, the Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo, today spread on social networks that “we established contact with the relatives of the Guanajuato women who unfortunately died in the explosion of a pipe on the Tepic-GDL highway. We regret what happened and we extend the support from @ I go to the relatives. Rest in peace. “

In social networks they have also announced that a fifth vehicle was affected by the initial crash, however, its driver continued on his way since the damages of his transport were not serious, being this decision the one that saved his life.

They look for possible victims

After unofficially revealing the identification of the victims of the pipe explosion in Jala last Monday morning, family and friends have deployed a campaign on social networks to locate Pedro Miguel García, who apparently was at the scene of the incident.
