Ford’s first native electric vehicle is also the first EV to be made in Mexico. The production of the Ford Mustang Mach-E has already begun at the brand’s facilities in Cuautitlán, State of Mexico, from where it will be exported to different regions of the world.

To welcome this new model, the plant underwent an important adaptation process, which lasted approximately one year, both for the acquisition of new technologies and equipment, as well as training for the personnel who work there. In particular, the stamping, bodywork, painting, and assembly areas received major updates.

In this factory, the production of the Ford Fiesta from 2010 to 2019 was carried out. The introduction of the Mustang Mach-E coincides with the 56th anniversary of the plant and the 95th anniversary of Ford in our country.

Until then we will know under what configuration it will be available. In its different versions, it offers power from 332 to 459 hp and 417 to 612 lb-ft, with rear or integral wheel drive and the option of a larger battery to increase its autonomy.
