A cyclist of French origin was found dead on the road to El Arcotete, in the municipality of San Cristóbal de las Casas. His body was lying on the side of the road.
According to the police report, locals reported finding a person in athletic clothing lying on the side of the road.
In San Cristóbal de las Casas, some people have identified the foreigner as Yeremi, a partner in a well-known French pastry shop in the city.
Emergency and security personnel arrived at the scene to provide support and conduct the corresponding investigation. Authorities are already investigating the incident to determine the cause of death.
